Sandra “Sandy” Stephan, 69, of Round Lake, IL passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville.
She was born on August 14, 1955 to Roy and Dora (Henson) Long in Morris Il. She was educated in the schools of Morris and graduated from West High School.
Sandy married Greg Stephan and he preceded her in death on February 18, 2014.
Sandy worked as a silver smith for many years. Sandy enjoyed gardening, bird watching, jewelry making and nature photography. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Sandy is survived by her sons Justin (Jenee) Metz, Nathan Metz and Daniel (Abigail) Metz, her mother Dora Long, her grandchildren Korrin Metz, Daniel I. (Monica) Metz, Tyler Metz, Isaac Metz, Kaiden Metz and Kayleigh, her step grandchildren Bianca Allen, Brayden Allen and Bennett Allen and her siblings Mark (Angie) Long, Brian (Lupe) Bloomfield and Paula Spolarich.
She is preceded in death by her father, and two brothers Roger and Gary Long.
A Celebration of Life for Sandy will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at 1:00 p.m. at Apostolic Faith Church (1021 – 95th St. Pleasant Prairie). Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until the time of service at the church.
