The Shalom Center Annual Celebration Gala will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 5:30 pm to 8 pm at The Stella Ballroom in Kenosha. This is not just another dinner event. It is a high-energy, joy-filled, mission-driven evening where the community comes together to actively combat homelessness and hunger right here in Kenosha. The Gala’s theme this year is “Home Begins with Hope.”
“Our Annual Celebration is a chance for us to express our gratitude. It is also an opportunity for everyone to better understand our cause, and to meet the individuals who are at the core of our mission,” stated Esther Roberts, Executive Director. “We can’t wait to celebrate with you!”
The night will include: a lively social hour; a delicious sit-down buffet dinner with a vegetarian option; and an exciting, paddle-raising Live Auction that brings the room to life. Every single bid turns into real impact: shelter nights, warm meals, and pathways toward stability.
Tickets are $125 each, available in advance only, and may be purchased online at www.shalomcenter.org/events. Sponsorship opportunities are also available and are listed at the same link on their website. All proceeds benefit ongoing food, shelter, and guidance programs.
“Our goal of $75,000 is bold because the need is real. And when this community shows up, incredible things happen,” said Terra Lindberg, Shalom Center Board Member. “Let’s pack the Ballroom. Let’s raise those paddles. Let’s raise HOPE!”
About the Shalom Center

Shalom Center is a 501(c)3 in Kenosha County serving as the only homeless shelter, the largest food pantry, and the longest-running nightly meal program. Shalom Center is a community resource that provides housing, food, guidance, and support to individuals and families in need across our community. Our mission is simple: serve the community through food, shelter, and supportive ways. We believe that this mission will help realize a greater vision: self-sufficiency by maximizing the potential of the people we serve.
