Sleep in Heavenly Peace Expands Bed Deliveries to all of Kenosha and Racine Counties

The Racine/Kenosha Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace has been building and supplying twin and twin bunk beds for children between 3 and 17 years old who lack a proper bed to sleep in. When they began 8 years ago, their scope was limited to the areas east of Highway 45. Thanks to the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteers, they have delivered almost 3,000 beds and are now at a point where they can expand.

Beds are now available, free of charge, to any child in Racine or Kenosha County who doesn’t have a proper bed. These beds are supplied free of charge and include a box spring mattress, pillow, and all bedding. They are assembled in your home by the Sleep in Heavenly Peace delivery teams.

If you need a bed, please apply at SHPBEDS.ORG/APPLY. There may be a few months out from delivery. Deliveries are scheduled by ZIP Code. If you live in an area where it says there is not a chapter in your area, please send an email to wi-racine-kenosha@shpbeds.org to let them know.

Also, if you have a church, organization, or group of friends that would like to serve as a delivery hub in your area, send an email to wi-racine-kenosha@shpbeds.org.

Their Next Bed Build

The Racine/Kenosha Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace’s last public build event of the year is going to be their BIGGEST! With the support of multiple churches from Kenosha and Racine counties, and hosted by Bane-Nelson, Inc., it will be their first-ever “Big Faith Build Day” on October 4th, 2025!

The day’s goal is to build 262 beds with 300 volunteers! There will be three building shifts, with food provided between shifts. Shifts are limited to 100 volunteers per shift, so sign up now to save your spot and be a part of something BIG to serve the kiddos in your towns!

About Racine/Kenosha Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace

The Racine/Kenosha Chapter is blessed with many volunteers who share our mission that “No Kid Sleeps On The Floor In Our Town!” Whether it is spending time with us building beds, helping deliver and set up beds in kids’ houses, or donating money or bedding, we couldn’t do any of what we do without the support of our volunteers, donors, and sponsors. Since 2018, we have delivered over 2200 beds in our area! That equates to more than 2,200 kids who now have a better shot at doing well in school and in life.
