Community State Bank’s Dinner on the Dock — showcasing world-class waterskiing and mouth-watering foods — will be held on Thursday, August 7 on Browns Lake. The annual event takes place from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at Fisher Park in Burlington. Admission is free.
The Browns Lake Aquaducks Water Ski Show Team has two performances that evening. The juniors take the water at 5 p.m., while the main team performs at 6:30 p.m.
“Dinner on the Dock is a favorite event of the employees, customers and community,” Community State Bank VP | Market President Dave Schalk said. “Burlington takes great pride in the Aquaducks and shows up regularly to enjoy the shows.”
Six area food trucks are scheduled to appear including All About Tacos, Hawgz Dogs, Mr. P’s Grilled Cheese, Pine Acres, Streetza and The Runaway Micropub and Nanobrewery.
The Aquaducks began skiing on Browns Lake in 1976. The team, consisting of members ranging from 8 to 70 years old, have become a Thursday night staple in the Burlington community.
This year’s theme features skiers dressed as their favorite Disney villain.
“Dinner on the Dock is one of our biggest events of the year,” Aquaducks Vice President Carrie Wyatt said. “It’s a fun night of family-friendly entertainment and incredible skiers showcasing a variety of skills from basic two-ski lines to pyramids, ballet lines and jumps.”
Visitors will have plenty of options for food and drinks. In addition to the six food trucks, there will be Aquaducks concessions and apparel available for purchase.
“Community State Bank considers the chance to support the Aquaducks as a great opportunity to show our continuous involvement in the community,” Schalk said. “It also gives us a chance to showcase local businesses and enjoy their delicious food and drinks.”
