Local romance author Brighton Walsh coming to Blue House Books

The Grump Next Door is the book for you, and Blue House Books is thrilled to welcome USA Today best selling author Brighton Walsh to our store on June 7th!

Brighton is a local author with a huge fan base of romance readers! She will be at Blue House Books (5915 6th Ave A) from 1 to 4 p.m. to chat with new readers and loyal fans, then from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Brighton will be chatting with fellow romance author Sara Ney about The Grump Next Door! There will also be time for a Q&A with the audience, book signing, and photo ops with both authors!

We have even collaborated with Brighton for something extra special: Anyone who preorders through Blue House Books will receive a signed edition (personalization available upon request), a custom sticker pack, and a limited edition romance trope tarot card! This package of goodies is only available when readers preorder through Blue House Books, in store or on our website.

In The Grump Next Door, a retired pro-football player-turned-high-school-coach winds up in a fake-dating scenario with his tenant.. and the woman he shared several steamy kisses and one hot night with. But he firmly believes it was a mistake. Now, not only are they stuck in a very public but very fake relationship, her cottage floods and the two are forced to live together, altering all their plans–and feelings–until they end up going to far with no way back. This spicy contemporary rom-com is perfect for fans of Emily Henry and Tessa Bailey!

Award-winning USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Brighton Walsh spent a decade as a professional photographer before taking her storytelling in a different direction and reconnecting with her first love—writing.

She likes her books how she likes her tea—steamy and satisfying—and adores strong-willed heroines and the protective heroes who fall head over heels for them.

Brighton lives in the Midwest with her real-life hero of a husband, her two kids—both taller than her—and her dog who thinks she’s a queen. Her boy-filled house is the setting for dirty socks galore, frequent dance parties (okay, so it’s mostly her, by herself, while her children look on in horror), and more laughter than she thought possible.
