Step Back in Time at the Kemper Center Grand Tour – A New Experience Awaits!

KENOSHA, WI, April 23, 2025 – The Kemper Center invites you to experience history like never before at this year’s Grand Tour, taking place on Sunday, April 27th, from 1 PM to 4 PM. This year, we’re bringing the past to life with exciting new features that will immerse you in the rich history of Kemper Hall and Durkee Mansion.

For the first time, visitors will have the unique opportunity to envision how Kemper Hall appeared when it was still in operation. Rooms will be recreated with displays showcasing the original use of the rooms, offering a glimpse into the daily lives of students and staff. Additionally, a newly arranged gallery featuring historical photos and fascinating information will enhance your journey through time.

But that’s not all! Guests will enjoy a free photo opportunity in the historic science lab and can leave their mark by signing our chalkboard guestbook. Your message might be featured on our social media pages!

  • Engaging Guided Tours: Explore the architectural beauty and historical significance of Kemper Hall and Durkee Mansion.
  • Kids’ Scavenger Hunt: A fun activity for the little ones with a sweet reward – a free scoop of Culver’s ice cream for completing the challenge!
