Shalom Center to “Light The Way Forward” at their Annual Celebration on May 2nd

The Shalom Center Annual Celebration will take place on Friday, May 2nd, 2025, from 11:30am to 2pm at the Kenosha Country Club. This celebratory luncheon is open to the public and will highlight the accomplishments of this local non-profit. The theme of this year’s event is “Light The Way Forward” as Shalom Center advances strategically to better serve those in need. Kenosha Mayor David Bogdala will be the guest speaker at the event.

“Our Annual Celebration is a chance for us to express our gratitude. It is also an opportunity for everyone to better understand our cause, and to meet the individuals who are at the core of our mission, and to hear a lived-experience testimony from a past shelter resident on the impact of community support. Seeing is not just believing—it is understanding, caring, and gaining empathy,” stated Esther Roberts, Interim Executive Director.

This year’s celebration will feature socializing, a sit-down luncheon, guest speakers, raffles and a silent auction. Tickets are $75 each and are available in advance only and may be purchased online at www.shalomcenter.org/events. Sponsorship opportunities are also available here.

Shalom Center is hoping to raise $50,000. All proceeds benefit ongoing food, shelter, and guidance programs.
