Scholarship recipient announced by Boys & Girls Club Kenosha

The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha is proud to announce Josiah as the recipient of the 2024 Shirley Madrigrano & Natalie Lee Arts Foundation Arts Member of the Year Scholarship. This $500 scholarship, generously provided by the Arts Foundation, will support Josiah in furthering his artistic journey. The award will be presented on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Love Yourself Youth Fashion Show at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha.

Josiah earned this honor through an impressive display of creativity and collaboration, leading the production of a music video for the Club. Working alongside Jason Love and his team from Racine Video Production, as well as two other teen members, Josiah played a key role in writing original lyrics, composing music, and producing the video. With guidance from Love’s crew, the teens handled the entire creative process, bringing their artistic vision to life in a powerful, Club-inspired video. The finished project can be viewed at https://youtu.be/Z_P7OaMPwFo.

“Youth and teens at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha receive opportunities every day to explore their artistic talents in dance, music, painting, crafts, and digital arts—opportunities they may not otherwise have access to,” said Tara Panasewicz, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha. “Through these programs, our members are using their creativity to create great works of art. We are incredibly grateful to the Shirley Madrigrano & Natalie Lee Arts Foundation for their unwavering support in ensuring the arts remain a vital part of our Club.”

The Shirley Madrigrano & Natalie Lee Arts Foundation was established at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha in 2016 to honor Shirley Madrigrano and Natalie Lee. Their sons and families—Joe & Kathy Madrigrano Jr., Bob Lee Sr., and Bob & Linda Lee Jr.—founded the Arts Foundation with the vision of providing sustainable support for arts programming at the Club. As the Foundation continues to grow, its goal is to generate increasing funds each year, ensuring that future generations of young artists have the resources they need to express themselves and develop their talents.
