Pleasant Prairie rolls out family fun for back-to-school with free music, movies and more

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. – Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets and Visit Pleasant Prairie are joining forces to send area families back to school, stocked up and pumped up, with a fun-filled roster of free, last-fling activities and entertainment.

WHAT & WHEN:

Friday, Aug. 9, 2024

6:00 – 9:00 p.m. – Free Performance by Taylor & The Anti-Trio

  • “Shake It Off” with this acoustic Taylor Swift cover band.
  • Presented by Visit Pleasant Prairie’s “Music in the Prairie” concert series.

Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024

12:00 – 2:00 p.m. – Build Your Own Backpack Event

  • Pick out a new backpack, compliments of Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets.
  • Fill it with select back-to-school supplies.
  • Limit one backpack per elementary or middle school child, while supplies last. Child must be present to participate.
  • Enjoy the Giant Bubble Show and interactive bubble-making station, free face painting, and twisted balloon creations.
  • Strike a pose for start-of-school photos at the themed photo op spot.

1:00 – 1:45 p.m. – Interactive Musical Show with Nanny Nikki

  • Sing and soar with this Grammy-nominated artist.
  • Get in on the act with sing-alongs, dancing, and more.

3:00 – 5:00 p.m. – The Barbie Movie

  • Free, outdoor showing of the blockbuster movie.
  • Bring your own chair.
  • Presented by Visit Pleasant Prairie.
