Kenosha Eats: Frank’s Diner Jingle Jam

The Restaurant:

Franks Diner, 508 58th St, is the place for breakfast. Operating continuously since 1926, this little train car is the oldest one of its type in the United States.

The Featured Dish:

Grinch Cinnamon Roll – Fresh baked cinnamon roll with green grinchy attitude.

Christmas Pancake – Franks’ famous massive pancakes died green and filled with Christmas colored sprinkles.

Oreo Milkshake – The ultimate Christmas Eve dessert. Fresh made milkshake with real Oreo cookies, topped with whipped cream and mint Oreos

The Flavor and The Story:

Franks. It’s timeless, it’s iconic.

This year, it’s also the best way to kick off Christmas.

With Christmas Eve falling on a Sunday, Franks Diner is bucking tradition and opening the doors for a holiday hoopla that will make your spirits bright.

The atmosphere will be filled with joyful Christmas music (or jingle jams, get it?) and a wild lineup of exciting, holiday themed menu items available for one day only.

The jolly elves that inhabit this almost 100 year old train car diner will be serving up green pancakes as big as Kevin Ervin’s head filled with candy sprinkles that will have your tastebuds singing “Joy to the World.”

Not a happy Who? No problem, the Franks crew has cooked up something special for those with a heart a few sizes to small, The Grinch Cinnamon Roll. This scratch-made delight is just the warm, gooey treat you need to get you a few steps closer to enjoying the season.

Of course you’re going to need a delicious beverage to accompany your meal and the made-to-order Oreo Milkshake is bringing all the toys to the yard on Christmas eve morning. Something tells me wrapping last minute gifts will feel a little less daunting after having a milkshake for breakfast.

This is the first year ever that Franks is opening on Christmas Eve and the diner crew would love to share the morning with a packed house full of smiling faces.

Jingle Jam service will be from 7am until noon on Sunday December 24th. Large groups are encouraged to make a reservation at 262.657.1017 however walk-ins and counter seating will be available all morning long.

Make sure to wish Kenosha’s own Bad Santa, Kevin Ervin, a Buon Natale and enjoy the best place to celebrate the holidays, our beautiful city on the lake.

Happy Holidays from Kenosha Eats!!!
