KENOSHA—100+ Women Who Care Kenosha drew the names of three non-profits who serve Kenosha County and hearing presentations on each, the 85 women in attendance voted for their top choice. The winning non-profit was the Uptown Children’s Library.
The Children’s Library will receive the $7,660 in donations collected at the event. In addition, a 50% matching grant application will be submitted to the Robert Schulze Foundation. Since its inception in 2018, 100+ Women Who Care Kenosha has donated more than $200,000 to local non-profits.
Through the support of matching funds from the Robert Schulze Foundation, over $50,000 has been added to the community’s donations. Local nonprofits including God’s Kitchen, Kenosha Literacy Council, Grace Welcome Center, KAFASI, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Alzheimer’s Association, Hospice Alliance, ELCA Outreach Center, Habitat for Humanity and the Kenosha County Food Bank are just a few that have benefitted from this collective impact.
100+WWC Kenosha meets quarterly. The next meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, at the Woman’s Club of Kenosha.
