Wisconsin Shores, a Challenger Division of Little League Baseball, and Wisconsin Shores Senior Challenger League are taking registrations for the 2023 season.
The programs are for mentally and physically disabled individuals in Kenosha and Racine. Special needs include: ADD, ADHD, visual and hearing impairments, CD, ED, LD, autism and physical difficulties and other health impairments.
Players who use walkers or wheelchairs are included. The little league is open to children ages 4-18 (or up to 22 if they are still in school). In the adult league, players must be at least 15 years old (no maximum age).
Games are non-competitive. Children will play on Saturday mornings from June 3 through Aug. 12 at the Kenosha Sports Complex, 39th Ave. & 42nd St., from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Senior Challenger game are played on most Monday nights from June 5 through Aug. 14 at Forest Park, 4803 61st Ave., from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The league is free. Players are required to bring a glove. Every player will receive a hat and T-shirt.
