Hawthorn Hollow’s Pike River Benefit Concert Series begins Friday, June 17

Hawthorn Hollow’s 2022 Pike River Benefit Concert Series, presented by Once Upon a Child and supported by the Trottier Insurance Group and Festival Foods, kicks off on Friday, June 17 at 6 p.m., featuring the classic country stylings of the Empty Bottle Boys and One Shot Jane. This marks the group’s second concert at Hawthorn Hollow.

The Empty Bottle Boys and One Shot Jane were formed by a group of musicians with a shared interest in the authenticity and timelessness of classic country and western music. Made up of members with backgrounds in varying genres such as bluegrass, classic rock, pop, zydeco and classical, the band has mastered songs by classic country artists such as Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, as well as a number of originals.

In their feature article about the Empty Bottle Boys, OnMilwaukee.com wrote: “This five-piece group boasts not only a huge library of songs they cover, they also create original music that sounds so legit that fans assume they belong to someone else.”

The Pike River Benefit Concert Series will continue with the contemporary folk of Violet Wilder on July 22, and legendary jam band Cosmic Railroad on August 13. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door (cash only, please). Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Carry in food and beverages are not allowed. All proceeds benefit Hawthorn Hollow.

The 2022 Pike River Concert Series at Hawthorn Hollow is presented by Once Upon a Child and supported by Trottier Insurance Group and Festival Foods. Additional support comes from Equinox Botanical Boutique, Mindful Yoga, Modern Apothecary, Peacetree Originals, Kessler’s Clock Co., Stein’s Aircraft Services, Impact Networking, Design Partners Inc., and Creative Design Custom Signs.
