Free Warrior Poet Yoga Series kicks off in May

Weekend series runs every Saturday and Sunday through the end of September

Kenosha County is located in the southeastern corner of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Its population in 2019 was estimated to be 169,561, making it the eighth most populous county in Wisconsin. The county is named after the county seat, Kenosha, the fourth largest city in Wisconsin.

Following the success of the free Traveling Yoga Series from last year, yoga teacher Steve Willis will be presenting Warrior Poet Yoga again this year, Kenosha County Parks announced Tuesday.

The weekend series begins May 7 and runs from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday through the end of September, weather permitting, at various Kenosha County Parks locations.

This program is sponsored by Willis, a retired Army veteran who began teaching yoga in the Army and has since taught at posts in the United States and three other countries around the world. He holds several international registrations through Yoga Alliance and continues his studies now with the Veterans Yoga Project.

Individual sessions will be capped at 30 participants.

“Traveling yoga has been a popular program in our parks, and we’re excited to bring it back for 2022,” said Kenosha County Parks Director Matthew Collins. “Sessions will again be held in park locations across the entire county. It’s a great opportunity for residents everywhere to enjoy some weekend exercise, fresh air and relaxation.”

Individual sessions will be capped at 30 participants. Advanced registration is encouraged HERE. The schedule of sessions for the season is as follows:
