Visit Milwaukee From Kenosha

Kenosha to Milwaukee is an easy trip that’s just about 40 miles away. Milwaukee day trips are popular and easy. Milwaukee weekend getaways feature some of this city’s very best.

Many immediately think of beer when they conjure up images of Milwaukee. These days Miller is the only major brewery left in the city. Yet, Milwaukee still has many taverns, pubs and microbreweries to enjoy various types of beer. One good area is the Water Street Entertainment Center in Milwaukee. There are great restaurants and brewpubs here.

The city also has a restored warehouse district called Third Ward that has an artsy flair. It’s now a National Historic Landmark, and visitors will enjoy great restaurants, a hopping nightlife, galleries and antiquing here.

Children will enjoy the Milwaukee County Zoo, while the Milwaukee Public Museum is also another popular attraction.

From Milwaukee you can take some lake cruises on Lake Michigan or on the Milwaukee River.

While you are in Milwaukee, make sure you check out the area’s frozen custard. The city is known for this rich, delicious delight! You can find it at most restaurants, which also often feature Friday fish frys.
