Kenosha HarborMarket
While the city has many great things to do, one weekend ritual that you won’t want to miss is the Kenosha HarborMarket. It is located at 2nd Avenue and 55th Street in Kenosha. It runs nearly every Saturday – about 50 Saturdays per year! The hours are 9 am to 2 pm – rain or shine. During the cooler months, the HarborMarket moves indoors. It generally moves indoors from mid-October to mid-May. The winter location is within the lobby of the Rhode’s Lakeside Player Theater. The theater is located at 514 56th St.
There’s a reason the Kenosha HarborMarket is a true local favorite. You can find vendors offering a variety of locally grown and created goods. It’s not uncommon to be able to sample many of the offerings from delicious jellies to local honey with unique tastes. You’ll also find great cheeses and vegetables and much more.
The vendors are a classic mix for a market of farmers, craftspeople and bakeries. You can find unique, freshly baked breads and even handcrafted art.
Many of the vendors only accept cash, so it’s a good idea to come prepared with cash rather than relying on your “plastic,” as so many of us do these days.
The Kenosha HarborMarket also offers entertainment and special events, so chances are you’ll be able to catch some live music and performances while there.
